The company was founded by JR Cunningham, a Mississippi State-trained computer scientist with more than fifteen years in software engineering, including seven years of defense work at Stennis Space Center. The idea came directly from helping a rural clinic in Aberdeen stand up its operations and watching how badly the billing side was underserved.
